Mid-week motivation

February 3, 2021

Not everyone around us may understand the feeling that going to the gym brings to you unless you go and are dedicated. Going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle is more than just the way you look. It is more than just the feeling of burning fat and more than that feeling of lifting weights. It is that positive mindset it gives you for the day.

If you train in the morning it sets you

up for the day in a positive way. If you train at night it gives you something to look forward to. It gives you something to drive you through the day. Going to the gym gives you an uplifting mindset allowing you to release any stress or worries on your mind. That hour or two, or maybe less or maybe more, you spend training you forget that the rest of the world even exists. It is simply just you and the weights.

Anyone can do it no matter who you are. It can take time and also may make you step out of your comfort zone. BUT once you making it part of your routine and you see the changes, that is when you fall in love with exercises. Your mind and body will begin to crave it. At this point gym is no longer something you force yourself to do, it is more of a lifestyle or a hobby, which you can't go more than a day without. It may take a month or more but when you do that’s when you start to make the gym and working out your comfort zone, the place you go to feel better, to release anything on your mind.

It’s all about the ‘I can’ attitude. Always tell yourself you can. Whether it’s a run and you tell your self ‘I can’ run that extra kilometre or lifting weights saying ‘I can’ add an extra 5kg onto my exercise, you are already a step ahead. Using that 'I can' mindset helps you push yourself to your limits. Sometimes you may not be able to achieve what you want and you may feel as if you have failed but you take 1 step back and 2 steps forward.

Failure is the fuel to your success it makes you determined to over come your fears. And remember at the end of the day your mindset is everything!
